Info: Abingdon Drama Club welcomes anyone interested in theatre: acting, directing, producing, stage management, costumes or workshop activities. Three or four major productions & several minor ones are staged each year. Drama is offered to young people for social life and to join in performances.

Info: Our friendly and informal group puts on three shows a year at Abingdon's Unicorn Theatre, plus festival productions, occasional Edinburgh Fringe outings, and lots of social events. New members very welcome, no experience needed.

Abingdon Touring Theatre Company
A company of professional actors based in Abingdon. Tours of the area and holiday courses in acting, stage management and technical aspects of theatre are organised.
Breakaleg Theatre
This Company has the inspiration of Deidre Jones an experienced professional director. Auditions are advertised locally and productions are often in the Unicorn Theatre.
Studio Theatre Club
Rehearses in Oxford, performs at the Unicorn Theatre. Usually one classic or Shakespeare, one modern and the first to perform Terry Pratchett discworld books as drama.
Oxfordshire Drama Network
This is a network of almost all of the drama and theatre organisations in the county. An annual festival of one-act plays is held in the Unicorn Theatre each June. This has an adjudicator but is unique as it has workshop and commentary to improve the participants rather than judgment.
Stagecoach Theatre Arts - Abingdon
Singing, dance and drama classes for children and young people aged 4 - 18. Build confidence, make friends with like-minded people and learn life skills through classes and performances based on musical theatre styles. Fully qualified and CRB cleared teachers lead groups of up to 16 of mixed ability and there is no audition to join, jus bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. LAMDA acting exams offered and a permormance troupe is available for hire.
We meet Saturdays during term-time at Thameside Primary School, Abingdon OX14 5NL.

Creation
There is a drama club for 5 to 16 year-olds offered by www.creationtheatre.co.uk through their box office 01865 766266. Although this is not a town society, Abingdon young people are accepted in 5 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 13, and 14 to 16, groups.
The County website and the Oxfordshire Children's Information Service give other music and drama options for under 21s.
