Friends of Abingdon
Abingdon's Civic Society runs Abingdon Abbey and the Unicorn Theatre. It maintains a watch over the heritage and development of Abingdon, has a newsletter and runs a series of talks. The Curator opens the Abbey Buildings most afternoons from April to October - Tuesday to Sunday except when there are bookings for weddings, plays in the theatre etc. This Civic Society is for people interested in the conservation of old Abingdon. For history, future events, membership or hiring parts of the Abbey buildings

Abingdon College and District Film Society
The Film Society shows a mixture of contemporary and older films from around the world in a season from October to April. Screenings are at Abingdon and Witney College, Wootton Road, Abingdon OX14 1GG on Thursdays usually at 7.45pm. New members are always welcome.
