Women's World Day of Prayer Service

Friday, 27 April 2018 - 1:30pm

Women’s World Day of Prayer is an international, ecumenical, prayer movement that invites women, from a different part of the world each year, to prepare a worship service through which their hopes and fears for their country may be brought before the whole world in prayer.

Sadly, due to the adverse weather conditions in Abingdon on the traditional day for Women's World Day of Prayer (1st Friday in March) the local service had to postponed but we can now announce that rearranged date will be Friday 27th April at 1.30pm and will be hosted by Peachcroft Christian Centre, Lindsay Drive, Abingdon. The service lasts about an hour (there will be a crèche) and will be followed by refreshments.

This years’ service has been written by the Christian women of Suriname for everyone to join in praise and worship  - women, men, children & young people. The theme this year is ‘All God’s Creation is Very Good!’ and challenges us to treasure God’s amazing gift of creation and to commit ourselves to caring for God’s world responsibly so that we may pass it on to future generations.

All are welcome - please come & join us.
