Have you been to Abbey Meadows recently? The play area has a lot of new things to see and do even in cool weather. The heated outdoor pool, always popular, is open late May to September with an improved swimming pool. The water splash is enjoyable for young children in warm weather. Booking for timed sessions is essential. Wildlife, birds and mammals will benefit if the picnic area is respected so please leave only footprints behind, take all rubbish away with you.
In winter weather the play facilities are open and any special activities will be on the Vale of White Horse District leisure pages and Get Oxfordshire active. For children visiting or who have not been to Abingdon Lock recently there are some intriguing creatures to look at.
White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre now requires booking ahead.
