Enjoy the latest films at The New Abingdon Cinema

The Abbey Cinema operates from the Abbey Hall using the previous Guildhall entrance on Abbey Close. The cinema comprises a huge nine metre projection screen, high-spec acoustic wall coverings and advanced Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The cinema accommodates 170 seats with a choice of traditional tiered seating found in rows at the back of the auditorium and the Dress Circle, while the Stalls offer luxurious cabaret-style seating with candle lit tables.

A newly renovated professional kitchen and licenced bar allow customers to enjoy light meals and alcoholic beverages whilst watching a film. Table service is free and food and drink can be pre-ordered when buying tickets online or at the box office. To view the full menu please click here.

As well as screening the latest blockbuster films, exclusive movie premiere’s and Live Satellite performances, in the upcoming months the Abbey Cinema will be home to live events such as stand-up comedy, live music and themed nights making this a dynamic multi-use space for the Abingdon community to enjoy.

Parent and Baby screenings

Every month the Abbey Cinema host Parent and Baby screenings, suitable for parents with babies and small children. The lights are up, the sound is down and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and piece of cake whilst watching the latest movies.

Silver Screen

The newest addition to the Abbey Cinema, Silver Screen offers mid-week treats at money saving prices for the retired community of Abingdon and surrounding areas.
