The Abingdon Ladies’ Choir has been in existence under the auspices of the Abingdon Music Centre for many years.  The first meeting was in The Old Gaol before moving to the Abbey Baptist Church and more recently, after the challenge and social joy of Zoom sessions during the pandemic, meeting in the Church and then The Barn at Christ Church on Northcourt Road.  This is a group of ladies who rise to the challenge of three or sometimes four part part singing and love the social benefits being a member of such an enthusiastic, fun loving, music loving, friendly choir.  Before Covid they were two choirs but at present are functioning as just one, singing together on Tuesday afternoons during term time, primarily concerned with the enjoyment and well being of singing together.
