DESCRIPTION:OPA is dedicated to fostering community engagement and supporting youth development. This event aim to engage our youth in strategic thinking and foster a sense of community through the game of chess. \nOrganisers: One Planet Abingdon\, Oxfordshire Junior Chess\, Didcot Junior Chess Club\, Keith Freshwater and OJAYS\nArbiter: Joseph Conlon\nSections: Beginner (unrated or ECF U900) and Intermediate\nAge group: Children born after 1st September 2006\nAll sections have 6 rounds. 25 minutes per player. This is not a knockout and your child will be involved in six games throughout the day. Clocks will be used in all sections.\nSchedule:Please arrive by 9:50 for opening announcements.Round 1 – 10:00 amRound 2 – 11.10 amRound 3 – 12.20 amRound 4 – 1.40 pmRound 5 – 2.50 pmRound 6 – 4.00 pmPrizegiving for each section will be as soon as possible after the end of the last round.\nECF membership: This is a ECF rated chess tournament. Entrants should be ECF Gold members (free for first year membership) by the date of the tournament.
