DESCRIPTION:Why is it so hard to give ourselves the same compassion we so easily give to our friends? \nMost of us would be kind to a close friend who was suffering\, yet we can be merciless with ourselves. \nDoes this sound familiar?\n\n\nyou beat yourself up when you fail or make a mistake \n\n\n\n\nyou’re much harder on yourself than you’d EVER be on a friend \n\n\nyou try and motivate yourself with criticism \n\n\nyou’re your own worst enemy \n\n\nyou don’t know how to cope with difficult emotions like sadness\, shame or fear \n\n\nIf you recognise this picture the first thing to know is that you’re not alone.
