An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until Sunday 16th June, 2024
Calling all Young Creatives! Unleash Your Wild Side in the Overgrowth Workshop
What is Overgrowth?
Imagine a world reclaimed by nature. Buildings swallowed by vines, bustling streets replaced by vibrant foliage. This is the essence of overgrowth, the theme that will spark your creativity in this exciting workshop.
What You’ll Do:
- Master the Art of Zine-Making: Learn the basics of creating your own zine, a self-published collection showcasing your artistic vision.
- Define Your Overgrowth: Explore what “overgrowth” means to YOU. It could be a lush paradise, a post-apocalyptic jungle, or anything in between. Let your imagination run wild!
- Unleash Your Creativity: Use any artistic medium that speaks to you – drawing, painting, collage, digital art – the choice is yours! All resources will be provided.
Get Inspired:
Comic book artist Louis Williams has created a special zine showcasing his vision of Overgrowth: what the British isles would look like after a societal collapse due to flooding and global warming. Come see his work and get inspired to create your own overgrown masterpiece!
This workshop is perfect for young artists, illustrators, and anyone with a creative itch. No prior experience is necessary!
