SUMMARY:Star Makers - The Energy of Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:UKAEA are proud to present their film “Star Makers – The Energy of Tomorrow” as part of the ATOM Festival. \nThe 52-minute film celebrates the landmark results achieved at the world-leading Joint European Torus (JET) facility. This behind-the-scenes documentary follows the team towards the end of 2021 as they overcome scientific and engineering challenges to achieve a new fusion energy world record. \nThe first showing at 11am will be introduced by a member of the team shown in the film and will be held in the Abbey Cinema. There will be time for a few questions afterwards. \nSubsequently the film will be  shown again in the Roysse Room at 2.15pm and at 3.30pm (no introduction or questions for these shows.) \nAt 1pm ATOM presents a talk by Dr David Miles about How Vaccines Work. This is a free talk and will take place in the Roysse Room. Booksigning afterwards.
