Winning Purbeck Rising in their first year as a band\, Roswell’s first release earned the title of Fatea EP of the Year\, and the duo went on to be named winners of the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Competition.\nFresh from tours in Germany and France\, including a showcase at MiCannes Conference\, Roswell is currently working on their debut album which features their signature candid songwriting on themes from mental health to sibling love to real-life activist adventures at sea.\nRoswell has supported artists including Catherine McGrath\, Dea Matrona and John Smith\, and played festivals from Cambridge Folk Festival to Costa Festival lbiza. DESCRIPTION:2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War 2\, and our exhibition looks back at Abingdon in war and peace in 1945. Learn how the war impacted the lives of local people through food shortages\, the threat of air raids\, war work in the industries\, and the influx of evacuees and armed forces personnel. Take a closer look at the roles of women and how they experienced the war and the post-war period.
