The eco fair we held last year was a huge success and this year we are doing it bigger with loads more fun! We are celebrating one planet living and everyone is invited. The marketplace will be buzzing with local eco traders\, delicious street food\, live entertainment and music\, talks\, activities\, eco crafts and games for all the family. Ecotots will be there as well as Chess! The one planet youth have planned a special something and there will be events in the climate emergency centre too. All details are on the website. The carbon cutters will be hosting a repair cafe in the Roysse Room and Clive will be checking bikes under the arches. Join us\, it is going to be a colourful event where we discover and celebrate the wonderful community that we have! It is time to come together as we live through these unprecedented times. There is no entry fee and all stalls run by One Planet will be by donation\, ensuring that the festival is accessible to all. Nobody left behind\, as we build a resilient and aware community. DESCRIPTION:Seasonal farmyard fun for the whole family! \nJoin us down on the farm as we celebrate the joys of spring\, with newborn lambs frolicking in the fields and a whole farmyard of fun activities to explore. \nMeet the farm animals – cows\, goats and sheep – and learn about their role in healthy\, nature-filled farmland. Take a bumpy ride on the tractor trailer\, have a go at welly-wanging\, or climb the giant hay bales. \n‘Bee’ amazed by the Oxfordshire Beekeepers’ Association as they showcase the vital work of pollinators on the farm\, with hive demonstrations\, beeswax candle-making and honey-tasting activities. \nThis event is part of our Spring to Life Season\, celebrating the circle of life by noticing and nurturing nature around us. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spend some time in nature\, and find out more about nature-friendly farming. (If the time is right\, you might even see a lamb being born!). \nWhat’s more\, by coming along to our festival weekends\, you’ll be helping to support our important work in championing accessible natural green spaces for everyone. Then it’s time to learn key orienteering skills – map reading and how to use a compass – followed by a practise session in the safety of our Earth Lab gardens. \nAfter lunch\, we head over to the hills – the impressive Wittenham Clumps – to take on orienteering challenges to put your new navigational skills to the test\, traversing around the area to find all the markers.
