The Choose Abingdon Partnership was a business initiative to encourage footfall in the town and its buinesses 2010 to 2014. Some of its functions are now accomplished bt the Business Improvement Ditsrict and the town’s business sector.
Key projects are highlighted such as the Visitor Research Study in 2012 and reports up to 2014 are available.
Choose Abingdon Partnership will be holding their AGM earlier than usual this year. Instead of the October date which has been the norm up to now the Partnership are holding a May AGM so that funders and the public can see the report on the financial year 2012-13 and the plans for the present year before they are too far under way. In the early years Choose Abingdon had a three year funding arrangement and a strict year-on-year cycle was not necessary but in the current climate funding is only likely to be a one year commitment and it’s important that the AGM, which is our principal way to communicate our achievements and plans, fits in with the annual financial cycle which our funders have to adhere to.
The AGM will be at the Guildhall on May 21st at 7pm.
