Abingdon’s Michaelmas fair began with a service on Sunday evening attended by town councillors and officiated by Revd Kath Cooke, chaplain to the Mayor. Music was played by the Abingdon Town Band. After the short service, everyone was invited on to the carousel for a ride to officially begin the fair.
