DESCRIPTION:Abingdon Street Pastors are celebrating their tenth anniversary since first launching in 2011. Street Pastors are out and about in Abingdon town centre on Saturday nights to provide support to those out on the town. They give out flip flops\, water and lollipops; they help people get home or to a place of safety; they offer help\, comfort\, a listening ear\, a friendly face to the lonely… a reassuring presence on the streets. Abingdon Street Pastors work in collaboration with the local police and town council. Pastors\nare members of local church congregations who have a passion to serve their local community. Come and join our celebration and find out more about Abingdon Street Pastors – making a difference in the local community.
