DESCRIPTION:An Urban Orienteering Event. THIS WOULD BE A REPEAT OF THE VERY SUCCESSFUL EVENT TVOC HELD IN ABINGDON IN 2017.\nAs in 2017\, the event would be based in Abbey Meadows. Infrastructure there would be 2 or 3 small tents for administration purposes. Small “control” flags would be placed around the town to mark the courses (placed and removed on the day).\nThe event is open to everyone. Courses suitable for all age groups\, as individuals or family groups.\nThe event will be organised according to British Orienteering Rules and Guidelines: https://www.britishorienteering.org.uk\nA Risk Assessment will be produced. British Orienteering Public Liability Insurance to £10\,000\,000.

DESCRIPTION:Make a diary note of Thames Valley Orienteering Club’s Urban Orienteering Event which is in the process of being organised with the permission of landowners and authoriteis. The proposed date is Sunday 25th July\, in Abingdon. \nOrienteering events have been going ahead since the 29th March. The sport involves 3-4 participants setting off at 1 minute intervals. \nTVOC held a very successful event in Abingdon in 2017. They expect to get a similar level of participation\, around 200. Anyone interested in this day or the pursuit in general is welcome to get in touch.
