Creepy Crawlies in the Market Place – Abingdon on Thames Town Council

In case you are wondering, the double decker bus in the Market Place is a mobile zoo with lots of reptiles and insects for families to look at.

Abingdon Science Festival is in full swing with sell out shows and Abingdon taking the record (against stiff competition from Oxford and the rest of the Oxfordshire Science Festival) for the most tickets sold for a scientific speaker event.

Passing the Guildhall yesterday you might have been forgiven for a moment of panic if you saw the bomb disposal lorry outside – but it was the Royal Logistics Corps taking part in the Science Careers Fair showing off their high-tech bomb disposal robot which is back from active service abroad.
