Pedestrian bridge over River Ock
In November of 2017 the wooden bridge leading from St Helen’s Court into the Ock Valley Walk had to be closed due to vandalism attacks that led to the bridge becoming unsafe.
Since the closure The Town Council have set aside funds to replace the bridge with a more robust and sturdy construction to ensure it is safe for public use.
The Town Council are currently consulting with The Environment Agency about whether their plans for Flood Alleviation would affect the construction of the new bridge. We hope to have this confirmed and repairs started as soon as possible.
The Town Council Website and Social Media will be kept updated regarding the progress.
