The Friends of Abingdon have organised a series of guided walks together with local societies and individuals. These will take place on Friday 3 June and participants will have the opportunity to join informative guides from local groups such as the Abingdon Area Archaeology and History Society, the Naturalist’s Society, the Friends of Abingdon and One Planet Abingdon, looking at different aspects of the town.
There will also be self-guided walks available, including a new ‘Royal Associations’ walk which will give you the opportunity to explore some of the fascinating history of Abingdon and its royal connections at your leisure.
Walks will start from the Friends of Abingdon Civic Society stall at Rye Farm Meadow – guided walks will begin at 10.30am and 2.30pm (book in from 10.00 on the day), self-guided walks at any time.
More information will soon be available here and on the Friends of Abingdon website.
