Abingdon Visitor and Community Information Centre

Abingdon-on-Thames Visitor and Community Information Centre has moved this season 2018 from its long-term location on Bridge Street to be in the County Hall Museum, OX14 3HG.

Our desk staff at the Centre can provide you with information on local travel, things to do and places to stay, eat and drink in and around the town. They can provide information on Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council services, town events and town council meetings.

In the inspiringly beautiful Sessions gallery, there are short flights of stairs. An intercom is available to request assistance or to have information brought to the ground floor or please phone in advance 01235 522642 Ext 2050 during opening hours. Information is open 10.00 am to 3.00 pm Tuesday to Saturday with enquiries dealt with at the Town Council on Mondays.

The Museum itself is open Tuesday to Sunday with the opportunity to view the town from the roof cupola most  fine days until shortly before closing time 4.00 pm.

Town Council offices are open each weekday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm at Roysse Court.

For any emergency in the evening outside all office hours only you may call the Vale of White Horse District Council out of hours number, 01235 524886. However please note that this number should only be called in an emergency. Thames Valley Police on 101 may be more appropriate.
