The Guildhall is a building surrounded by a fascinating history. Each of the rooms tells a story, with information about the Roysse Room dating back to as early as 1440. The Guildhall accommodates six rooms, five of which; the Council Chamber, Bear Room, Abbey Room, Roysse Room and the Mayor’s Parlour are located in the historical section of the building. The more recent section, built in 1966, houses the Abbey Hall.
