The UK has good technical and natural resources for renewable energy (solar, wind, tide) so why is the government proposing to issue to oil and gas drilling licenses at a time when international organisations have advised that all exploration for fossil fuels should stop? The conclusions of our discussion will be summarised as a contribution to the OPACEC website and, if appropriate, in a letter to our MP.
