The Friends of Abingdon Civic Society have secured a town centre community space for voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations to use. ‘Unit 25’ is located on Bury Street and has been very popular since opening, originally in Unit 24 in September 2023, with users including the Heritage Open Days exhibition, Carbon Cutters’ apple pressing and monthly sewing repair workshops, PCSOs drop-in sessions, VWHDC “Active Communities” exercise sessions, a Woodcarving exhibition, Book Exchanges and many more.
