Abingdon-on-Thames is fortunate to have a large number of clubs and societies for residents to get involved with.  They are invited to take part in town events like the biennual Clubs and Societies days and the Summer Fun and Music in the Park to enable them to meet with potential new members.

The town council welcomes applications for community grants from local clubs and societies and further information can be found here.

A list of Clubs & Societies in Abingdon-on-Thames is given below.  If you have any additions or changes to the list, please contact enquiries@abingdon.gov.uk.  We will need to verify that you and the society are local, either in Abingdon or with Abingdon residents as members.

If you would like your group listed or the information below needs to be updated, please note the following:

1. Listings should be non-commercial. There may be some groups where this is not clear and the town council will decide on any potential problems with this rule.

2. All submissions will be edited where necessary so please be brief and to the point about your local group, rather than sharing generic information from elsewhere.

3. Personal information such as names and phone numbers should be avoided unless necessary as group membership will change over time.

4. The town council cannot be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by local groups and you are asked to check the listings regularly.  Any changes which are needed can be made promptly once advised to us at enquiries@abingdon.gov.uk.
