Each year the town council sets aside a budget of £20,000 for community grants. Grant applications are considered by the Community Committee which meets at least four times a year. Grants are considered based on the town council’s aims and objectives and on the benefit the group or event brings to the local community in Abingdon.
If you would like to apply for a grant for your organisation, you can download the two grant application forms here or at the bottom of this page, then save, complete and return them with the supporting information.
Please note that you need to complete forms A and B.
The Council has a budget of £20,000 available for grants for the financial year commencing 1st April 2022. In 2021-22, grants totalling £15,045 were awarded to 11 local organisations.

Warm spaces grants
Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council has offered grants to local groups providing warm spaces over the winter of 2022-23. Further details can be found here.
Grants available from other town and parish councils
Grants awarded by the Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council must benefit the town or its residents. If your project benefits the town and/or residents but also benefits other parishes or people from outside of Abingdon then you may also wish to apply for grant funds from other parishes. Not all parishes have funds available and like Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council they will need to see that your project benefits the parish and/or its residents.
