Cllr Elio Astone

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Astone is the Vice-Chair of the Finance, Governance and Asset Management committee and the Environment, Amenities and Infrastructure committee.  He sits on the Traffic Advisory committee and is the town council representative on the Oxfordshire Pensions Forum and the Radley Lakes Trust

Cllr Gabby Barody

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Barody is the Chair of the Environment, Amenities and Infrastructure Committee and sits on the Finance, Governance and Asset Management committee.  She is the town council representative to The Abingdon Bridge and is a Nominative Governor to Christ’s Hospital of Abingdon.

Cllr Barody was the Mayor of Abingdon in 2024-25

Cllr Cheryl Briggs

Green Party.

Cllr Briggs sits on the Community committee and the the Museum sub-committee.

Cllr Briggs was Mayor of Abingdon in 2021-22.

Cllr Penelope Clover

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Clover is the Vice-Chair of the the Community committee and the Chair of the Museum sub-committee.  She is the town council representative to the River Users Group and is a Nominative Governor to Christ’s Hospital of Abingdon.

Cllr Margaret Crick

Liberal Democrat

Cllr Crick sits on the Environment, Amenities and Infrastructure committee, the Planning committee and the Museum sub-committee.  She is the town council representative to the Earth Trust.

Cllr Crick was Mayor of Abingdon for the year 2018-19.

Cllr Neil Fawcett

Cllr Mark Giddins

Cllr Giddins is the Chair of the Planning committee and sits on the Finance, Governance and Asset Management committee, the Environment, Amenities and Infrastructure committee and the Traffic Advisory committee.  Cllr Giddins is a representative on the Neighbourhood Plan steering group.

Cllr Tom Greenaway

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Greenaway sits on the Environment, Amenities and Infrastructure committee and is a town council representative to the Albert Memorial (Abingdon) Trust.

Cllr Murali Gunarajah

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Gunarajah sits on the Community committee and the Traffic Advisory committee.  He is the town council representative to the Abingdon Foyer Stakeholders Group and is the Parish Transport Representative.

Cllr Gunarajah has decided not to take his councillor allowance from 1st April 2025.

Cllr Jim Halliday

Liberal Democrat.

Cllr Halliday is the Chair of the Finance, Governance and Asset Management committee and is thus entitled to sit on all town council committees ‘ex officio’ (by virtue of his office).  Cllr Halliday is a town council representative on the Albert Memorial (Abingdon) Trust.

Cllr Halliday was Mayor of Abingdon for the year 1995-96.

Cllr Rawda Jehanli

Cllr Jehanli is the Mayor of Abingdon for 2025-26.   As Mayor she may sit on any standing committee of the town council ‘ex officio’ (by virtue of her office).  As Mayor of Abingdon, Cllr Jehanli is also a Nominative Governor to Christ’s Hospital of Abingdon.
