Bank Holiday Walks
Come for a Bank Holiday Walk Monday 29th May
Organised by the Friends of Abingdon and other societies.
All walks start and finish at the Market Place
Book in on the day
Wear comfortable shoes or boots
MORNING WALKS start at 10.30am, book in from 10am
1556 Boundary Walk with the Guild of Town Criers, about 4 miles lasting 2 hours, unlimited numbers
Lost Abbey Tour with a local expert, about 1 1/2 hours, 25 participants
AFTERNOON WALKS start at 2pm, book in from 10am
Nature Walk with a member of the local Naturalist Society from Abbey Meadows and on to Orchard Lake and back, about 4 miles lasting 2 1/2 hours, 20 participants
Rivers of Abingdon Walk with a local expert, about 4 1/2 miles lasting 2 1/2 hours. Return on your own from the lock after 3 miles and 1 1/2 hours if you wish. 25 participants
Stories from the War Memorial with a local expert, about 1 1/2 miles lasting 1 1/2 – 2 hours. 20 participants.

If you prefer to do your own thing, call in at our Market Place stall between 10.00 and 15.00 and pick up or download one of our trail leaflets: there are a dozen or to to choose from, many of them family-friendly. You can also find them on the Friends of Abingdon Civic Society website.
