Exhibition: ‘Text & Texture’ – the artworks of Pat Russell and Janet Boulton
Pat Russell and Janet Boulton were both acclaimed artists who lived in Abingdon for many years.
In 1986, they both attended a paper making workshop at Oxford Polytechnic (later Oxford Brookes University). Inspired by the possibilities of this medium, they decided to set up their own paper making studio and start creating art using paper pulp. The works on display are now a part of the Museum’s permanent collection and range from photographic documentary of Janet’s garden installation art featuring text, paper pulp works and embroidery.
Location: Attic Gallery 14 February to 26 April 2026
