Fly Yeti Fly with support from David Clifton

Thursday 7th December, 2023 - 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Fly Yeti Fly are the Wiltshire-based acoustic duo Lorna Somerville and Darren Fisher. Blending sensitive vocal harmonies with intricate guitar arrangements, mandolin and harmonica, the duo weave songs and stories from their travels together, with a sound that is reminiscent of the late-’60s folk scene. Now living on their canal boat on the Kennet & Avon canal, their music is influenced by their travels and life on the water. Having appeared on BBC Introducing stages across the south west and keen artists on the festival circuit, this pair are often accompanied by cellist Jo Hooper (Mudskippers) and double bassist Alex Pearson (The Model Folk).

“…fly yeti fly are a seriously incredible duo…just stunning…” – James Santer, BBC Introducing Devon
“Combinations of Mandolin, Guitar, Harmonica and Vocal Harmonies allow Fly Yeti Fly to layer their material with becalming webs that captivate the listener.” – www.emergingindiebands.com
“Fly Yeti Fly were simply outstanding. There is a whiff of Haight Ashbury in an English Country Garden about this outfit. Great songs, soft, haunting, fragile vocals, and a warmth and purity of spirit that radiates from the stage.” – Festivals For All, 2019

Support is from Oxford based David Clifton.
