King/Queen of Abingdon for a day (Children workshop)
If you were King/Queen of Abingdon for a day what would you do and how would you make it a better place to live?
This event is aimed at families with children and is an exciting drop-in Easter holiday activity where children and parents/carers can make, design and decorate their own crowns using sustainable creative materials which are all provided. While people make their crowns, workshop volunteers from Sustrans and One Planet Abingdon Climate Emergency Centre will hand out worksheets with the sentence if I was King/Queen of Abingdon for a day I would…
Families will be encouraged to finish this sentence with schemes or initiatives that they would do or want to make Abingdon a healthier, more active and liveable town. This workshop is on a drop in basis and welcome to all. It is a visualising and co-design activity to encourage the community of Abingdon to brainstorm ideas around what a liveable neighbourhood means to them.
