Lazy Sunday Crafternoon – Upcycled Paper Gift Bags and Boxes
Our Lazy Sunday Crafternoon at the One Planet Abingdon Climate Emergency Centre is a monthly craft session for adults (over 14s only please), led by Kay, aka The Upcycled Bag Lady.
The idea is to spend a relaxed and friendly couple of hours on an easy and fun upcycling project, and to enjoy being creative while finding ways to reduce waste (and use up Kay’s massive craft stash!). Tea, cake and chat will happen too.
Places are limited, so please book your space in advance. There is no charge for the session, but there are some costs so, if you are able, feeding the One Planet Abingdon piggy bank will allow us to keep the workshops free for all.
This month we will be using donated papercraft materials to make upcycled gift wrap, bags and boxes for the upcoming festivities.
Materials will be provided, but if you have plain or branded paper carrier bags from stores that you would like to ‘zhuzh up’ or plain paper that you would like to use as a base for your gift bags, feel free to bring that too. Stamps and stencils are also welcome.
*Please note that we have moved the session forward by 30 minutes to start at 1330 to make sure we have time to spend a full two hours on craft activities and still have time to tidy up before the museum closes at 1600.
