Why?
We are thrilled to announce our third Yellow Submarine location at the Charter in central Abingdon! The South region has seen the largest growth in membership in recent years and with such high demand, it is essential there is a dedicated space to carry out our work.
The intention is for the Charter to become a Community Hub, housing not only Yellow Submarine projects, but like-minded third sector organisations supporting other vulnerable groups in the town.
We need your help to help raise awareness and funds for our new location to make it an accessible, welcoming space for our membership and the wider community!
What?
To celebrate National Walking Month, we will walk from the Yellow Submarine café in Oxford to our new location at the Charter in Abingdon!
The walk follows a beautiful stretch of the Thames Path National Trail, which is approximately ten miles and can be completed in four hours at a brisk pace – or longer if you take to opportunity to pause and enjoy the local flora, fauna and stunning river views.
How?
Join us for this fun filled family event where everyone is welcome! We will lead you along the Thames path and provide lunch from our Life Changing Cafes. We hope to welcome members, supporters and fundraisers to walk alongside each other.
We ask that participants attempt to fundraise £100 for this challenge to support redevelopment of the building. We can help with fundraising – just ask Ella, our Community Fundraising Officer for support and ideas!
