    The Northcourt Centre, Abingdon OX14 1NS Northcourt Road,, Abingdon

    Renowned local artist Lin Kerr will give a demo showing the versatility of oil paints, including impasto, glazing, adding textures etc. Non members are welcome but please contact the Society on the website (www.abingdonartists.org.uk) to reserve a place.

  • Abingdon Artists October Meeting

    Oxford based artist Francesca Shakespeare will give a demo. Francesca has led workshops  at the Ashmolean and teaches at Ruskin College. She works in a variety of media including gouache, oil and watercolour, to create work full of colour and texture.

  • The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood

    The Northcourt Centre, Abingdon OX14 1NS Northcourt Road,, Abingdon

    A talk about the Pre-Raphaelite painters, their work and their aims, to be given by Gabriella Bailey to Abingdon Artists at their April meeting. Gabriella is an artist herself and will give an insight as to how the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood looked back to the Medieval period as a way of re-imagining the future.
