Christmas Extravaganza

Entertainments, lights and fireworks!

Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council provide the Christmas Lights display in the town centre. A large Christmas tree is erected by staff with contrubution from loyal Monday Charter Market traders. Abingdon-on-Thames Chamber of Commerce then undertake a lot of the organisation of a Christmas Extravaganza  to celebrate the switching on of the lights.

With the Chamber of Commerce, a decision will be taken this year on the Christms parade. Live music, stalls and entertainment is usual and Abingdon Lions Club are able to ask Father Christmas to bring one of his teams of elves each year. In 2020 the day may have to alter for the planned event on 27th November.
