Natural Flood Management – Real World Examples of Reducing Flood Risk
Wednesday 30th April, 2025 - 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
In this talk, Adam Bows (Interim Regional Programme Manager, Freshwater Habitats Trust) will explain how by working with landowners, implementing carefully designed and NFM techniques in catchment headwaters can reduce flood risk to downstream communities. NFM features Adam will illustrate with real-world examples include leaky dams, field-corner bunds, cross-valley bunds and debris dams. Freshwater Habitats Trust hosts the Ock Catchment Partnership and is seeking to deliver NFM in the Ock.
