Abingdon WW1 Commemoration Event – are you in this?
Abingdon is ready for its very first WW1 family activity day in the Market Place tomorrow at 10am. This one day only event will be filled with activities for everyone with some of the town’s well known local producers and shops providing authentic style food and drink throughout the day. The event will give visitors an insight into life in the early 1900’s, learning about the differences between our lives today and of those who lived during The Great War. In the spirit of recreating a 1900’s Abingdon many museum staff and volunteers will be dressed in period clothing, and visitors are more than welcome to attend in costume also.
