As usual there will be a great opportunity to work off any after-effects from Christmas and New Year’s Eve with an informative and sociable New Year’s Day guided walk round the town’s historic boundary. This year’s walk will be led by Councillor Helen Pighills and accompanied by a Town Crier.

It will start at 11.00 from the Market Place and usually takes about 2 hours. The finishing point is at Abingdon Lock, but the route is never far from the Town Centre so those who need to finish earlier can easily do so.

The route is flat and dog and buggy-friendly, but one stretch can be a little bit muddy sometimes, so please wear sensible footwear – and dress according to the weather on the day!
