Autumn Celebration – The Mayor’s Charities
Saturday 23rd October, 2021 - 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Earlier this year Abingdon Mayor, Cllr Cheryl Briggs, nominated Abingdon DAMASCUS Youth Project (ADYP) and Yellow Submarine as her chosen charities. Both local to Abingdon, these charities both strive for equality, diversity and inclusion within our community; ADYP empowering young people challenged by adverse social circumstances to create positive change and Yellow Submarine supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full.
The Mayor’s Charities are holding aa ‘Autumn Celebration’ in Abingdon market square on Saturday 23rd October 2021, the first of a few fundraising events. The goal of this event is to increase awareness of the charities and raise money! The event will be for everyone in the community to enjoy; from raffles to games for kids to a cycling challenge kindly provided by Abingdon Anytime Fitness! There will be something for everyone to revel in, all whilst raising money for two great causes.
