Is your garden full of windfall apples? Why not bring them to one of our apple-pressing sessions and press them into delicious, healthy juice? We provide chopping boards, jugs, an electric crusher, 20-litre apple press, and a pasteuriser. You bring the apples, and clean empty screwtop glass bottles (if you want to pasteurise) or any container if you are going to drink it within a week! 2Kg of apples makes about 1 litre of juice. Volunteers will help you, and we make a charge of 30p per bottle for using the equipment, 40p if you pasteurise them too.

If you have a lot of apples, and don’t need help using the equipment, we suggest you book an afternoon slot, 1-3.30pm and have the equipment to yourself. Or you can hire all the equipment to use at home for a small fee – contact susiehoward1@gmail.com to arrange a date. It can be a good fundraiser for a PTA, scout or guide troop, or a village charity.
