Junior Rapidplay Chess Tournament 27 Oct
Sunday 27th October, 2024 - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
OPA is dedicated to fostering community engagement and supporting youth development. This event aim to engage our youth in strategic thinking and foster a sense of community through the game of chess.
Organisers: One Planet Abingdon, Oxfordshire Junior Chess, Didcot Junior Chess Club, Keith Freshwater and OJAYS
Arbiter: Joseph Conlon
Sections: Beginner (unrated or ECF U900) and Intermediate
Age group: Children born after 1st September 2006
All sections have 6 rounds. 25 minutes per player. This is not a knockout and your child will be involved in six games throughout the day. Clocks will be used in all sections.

Round 1 – 10:00 am
Round 2 – 11.10 am
Round 3 – 12.20 am
Round 4 – 1.40 pm
Round 5 – 2.50 pm
Round 6 – 4.00 pm
Prizegiving for each section will be as soon as possible after the end of the last round.

ECF membership: This is a ECF rated chess tournament. Entrants should be ECF Gold members (free for first year membership) by the date of the tournament.
