There will be elections to the town council and the district council on 4 May 2023 and the government has introduced new requirements for all voters.
Photo ID is now compulsory
Most importantly, at this election, you will need to bring photo ID with you to be able to vote at a polling station. A wide range of photo ID will be accepted, including passports, driving licences, a disabled parking blue badge and proof of age PASS ID cards. If you don’t have an accepted form of photo ID, you can APPLY NOW for a free voter ID document known as a Voter Authority Certificate.
