Mayor’s Charities – Abingdon on Thames Town Council

The current Mayor of Abingdon, Cllr Charlie Birks, has spent his time as Mayor fundraising for the following two charities:

Shift which is an informal support group that welcomes parents, carers and extended family members of any child with SEND (with or without diagnosis) and The Abingdon Bridge, a charity which supports young people in challenging circumstances.

This year has been a difficult time for all, and the work carried out by these charities has been more important than ever. Cllr Birks was really pleased to be able to meet representatives from both organisations recently when he presented them with their cheques.
