Abingdon Children and Family Centre
Abingdon Children and Family Centre provides support and advice to children and families, with a special emphasis on supporting the whole family. Staff based at the Children and Family Centre work closely with partner agencies to provide a range of services to offer help and advice to you and your family. There are changes being made to County services this year so please look at individual sections of Oxfordshire Couny Council information to double check.
Services for local people include play and learn, support for young people to access education, employment and training, and parenting support.

There are group or individual sessions, at the centre or in the home. The Net is a co-ordinating point for professionals working with families and young people as well as a place where programmes are delivered, which might include restorative practice focusing on the needs of victims and offenders, parenting programmes, diversion activities to prevent young people entering the youth justice system, mentoring, coaching, counselling and access to education and training opportunities.
Young people networking also means there is mutual support and some opportunities to have fun.

The National Citizen Service is separate from the Children and Family Centre. Teenagers can get involved in projects in the community, including team building and raising funds for charity.
