Heart of Abingdon Trail opens - Abingdon on Thames Town Council

Yesterday the Mayor officially opened the Heart of Abingdon heritage trail around the St Helens quarter of the town. The walk includes five information boards, printed leaflets and an audio tour available to download on this website.

The trail follows a short circular route starting in East St Helen Street, to St Helen’s church, the Almshouses, past the Thames and Ock river frontage via Margaret Brown Gardens to finish in West St Helen Street.

£ 12,200 of the project has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, £1,500 from Abingdon Town Council and £ 500 from the Choose Abingdon Partnership.
