Want to try a new sport, have fun and make some friends? Abingdon Atoms Korfball Club are running a free beginners course on Thursday evenings in January, no previous experience required. Korfball is a mixed gender game, similar to netball or basketball, in which a team consists of four men and four women. The aim of the game is to get the ball through a basket which is 3.5m in the air, much higher than in basketball or netball! We are a friendly bunch with varying abilities and experience. The course will run on Thursday 13th, 20th and 27th January from, 19.00-20.30 in the sports hall at Larkmead School, Abingdon – it is free and open to over 16s only. After the course you will be given the option to join the club and become a full member.
