Craft Fair starts tomorrow
The annual Craft Fair at the Abbey Buildings starts tomorrow with a wealth of British hand-made and artisan products. The Fair runs from Thursday to Sunday this week and then again another Thursday to Sunday slot next week, after a change-round of exhibitors. Set in the beautiful medieval buildings that were once part of the great Abbey it is a real treat for a day out.
While in town visit some of our local haunts that also feature art, crafts and other delights.
Stert Street – hand-finished wooden kitchenware, local ceramics, local food in Added Ingredients deli.
Bury Street – art gallery upstairs and hand made glass and jewellery downstairs in Abingdon Gifts and Gallery
Bridge Street – the gorgeous flower displays of Fabulous Flowers
West St Helen Street – Rosies Tea Rooms for wonderful homemade scones and cakes and local artists featured on the walls; Belinda’s Jewellery Box next door with lots of local design and craft talent on display.
Bath Street – new Steampunk and Gothic shop Clockwork Dragon is opposite the Black Swan and Art & Stuff is a lovely gallery with retro/vintage and affordable art in The Square opposite Barclays.
