New ‘toucan’ road crossing now open on Wootton Road near Aldi

A crossing to link the new Aldi supermarket on Wootton Road with the new housing development has now been commissioned, greatly increasing road safety in the area just in time for the Summer holidays to begin.  Town councillors have been working with colleagues on the county council to get the new crossing up and running.  A ‘toucan’ crossing is designed to aid cyclists and pedestrians to cross the road safely.
