Wreath laying to Commemorate the Battle of the Somme – Friday 1st July

Friday 1st July 2016 marks the 100th Anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme.

To commemorate this day the Mayor, Cllr Alice Badcock, will lay a wreath on behalf of the Town as part of an Act of Remembrance.  This will take place at the Town’s Cenotaph and War Memorial at 7am on 1st July.
