Postponement of Memorial service for former Councillor John Tamplin

The Memorial Service due to be held  for former Councillor John Tamplin on Friday 2nd March 2018 has been postponed due to the poor weather conditions which will make it difficult and potentially dangerous for people to travel. When the new date is available this will be published on the website.

John passed away in February at the age of 85. He was a Town Councillor from 1999 to 2003 and was Mayor’s Escort to his late wife Audrey during 2002-2003.  He leaves his daughter Jane, son-in-law Marc and son Richard.

John will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his humour and kindness and, in particular, for his great determination to lead as active a life as he could following a serious and life changing stroke.
