Busy Weekend in Abingdon!
There’s no doubt that Spring is here and the lovely yellow and green of Freewheeling’s annual Abingdon Cycle Festival is starting to make its presence felt around the town with the banner up in the Market Place and a great display in the Community Shop window on Bury Street. This Sunday is the main event and for the first time the event will take up the High Street as well as the Market Place featuring cycling stalls and activities. On Saturday night cyclists and independent film fans are gathering to see the screening of the independent film “The Bicycle” at the Guildhall. (All welcome and only £4 on the door.)
You may also fancy a Fish and Chip Supper Quiz also taking place on Saturday night, and Saturday is another opportunity to plan ahead and make sure you get your family and friends wristbands for the fabulous Music in the Park event on 6th June before they run out. There will be a Music in the Park gazebo up in the Market Place from 10am on Saturday so come and find out more about this essential part of the Abingdon Summer!
